Sunday Worship is In-person and Online

Williamston UMC returned to in-person worship on Pentecost Sunday, May 23. We continue to adapt our practices and be responsive to the needs of our community in pandemic. We mask and social distance in worship, with only the worship leader unmasked. Please contact the church office Tuesday-Thursday, 9 am to 3 pm with any questions you have about our safety policies. We are not currently offering nursery or Sunday School. Kids of all ages and people of all abilities are welcomed into the worship service.

Disability Inclusion

We long to be a welcoming community for all people. Please let us know if we can do a better job accomodating your needs. We are aware many have difficulty hearing with masks on, and we are taking care to make sure worship is accessible with clear audio and captions, when possible. Please let us know if there is something we can do to make your experience of church better. We have also recently renovated our building for accessibility and we have a hearing loop installed in the sanctuary for those with bluetooth-enabled hearing aids. Please know that we expect a little choas at all our events, and we welcome people of all abilities. 

LGBTQ+ Inclusion

We welcome and affirm all people in the full life and minsitry of the church. LGBTQ members have held lay leadership positions at every level of the local church. We actively work to reconcile our denomination with the LGBTQ community, to right harms done to LGBTQ community members, and to restore full faith and trust. WUMC has officially affirmed LGBTQ siblings and members since 1990, and became a Michigan's first reconciling United Methodist congregation in 1996. Our remodeled facility now includes an all gender bathroom, and non-bianary and transgender community members will always be welcome to use any facility that makes you feel most safe and comfortable. Our offices are open Tuesday through Thursday from 9:00am to 3:00pm.  If you have any additional questions call (517) 655-2430.  Our main entrance is now at the south end of the building near accessible parking.
