Sunday Worship

Our community gathers for worship on Sunday mornings at 10:00am each week in the Sanctuary. If you enter through the front doors, located on Putnam Street, someone will welcome you and show you the way.  We meet to learn about God’s love, to connect with a community of faith, and to explore together ways we can serve God, one another and the world around us. We’d love it if you’d join us.

Getting here

We are located in downtown Williamston at 211 South Putnam; just a block south from the intersection of Grand River and Putnam. There is parking along the side and back of the church. No space? Feel free to park across the street in the bank parking lot.

What to wear

We have a come as you are, casual atmosphere.

Children & Special Needs

We welcome children in worship. Children have special parts to play in the procession, Call to Worship, & Communion. We also believe in including all people, incuding those with special needs and disabilities. Find out more here.

LGBTQ+ Inclusion

We welcome and affirm all people in the full life and minsitry of the church. LGBTQ members have held lay leadership positions at every level of the local church. We actively work to reconcile our denomination with the LGBTQ community, to right harms done to LGBTQ community members, and to restore full faith and trust. WUMC has officially affirmed LGBTQ siblings and members since 1990, and became a Michigan's first reconciling United Methodist congregation in 1996. We are remodeling and a new gender-neutral bathroom is coming soon. Then and now, non-bianary and transgender community members will always be welcome to use any facility that makes you feel most safe and comfortable. Please let us know how we can make you feel safe and welcome here.

Office hours

Our offices are open Tuesday through Thursday from 9:00am to 3:00pm.  If you have any additional questions call (517) 655-2430 or stop by.  The Office is located straight ahead when you enter from the front door on Putnam Street.
